A Moment in M.O.M.’s Kitchen- Papa Joe’s Popcorn!

This is a family recipe that my Joe makes for us at special family events or special ‘just because’ moments. I am surprised that after so many years of keeping it ‘top secret’ he is sharing with all of us. He has only requested royalties (a generous handful) each time anyone makes a batch. Too cute!!

Papa Joe’s Popcorn
24 cups of popped popcorn. (I normally clean the popcorn of any seeds and of course I make it using our coconut oil)

The following measurements are approximates:
3 sticks of Butter (1 1/2 cups)
4 Cups Brown Sugar
1 Cup (at least) of Maple Syrup
1 tsp. Maple Flavoring
1 tsp. Vanilla Flavoring
3/4 tsp. salt

In a pan melt 3 cubes of butter. Once butter is melted add brown sugar, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil. Then add remaining ingredients and cook approximately 10min. Then pour over popcorn and stir. NOTE: Be careful, it is very hot so this isn’t a project that little children should be helping with.

Enjoy!
